Breitbach’s Country Dinging is Iowa’s oldest food and drinking establishment.

Breitbach’s Country Dining. was opened in 1852 by a federal permit issued by President Millard Fillmore.  Jacob Breitbach (great, great grandfather of the current owner) bought the business in 1862.  It has been owned (for six generations!) by the Breitbach Family ever since.

Mike and Cindy Breitbach are the current owners of Breitbach’s Country Dining. Most days, you can find at least one of their six children in the kitchen, waiting tables, washing dishes or tending bar.

Our award-winning pork tenderloin is part of the Iowa Pork Association’s Pork Tenderloin Trail

All soups and salads are made on site by Cindy and her team. The soup and salad bar is included in the buffet dinner items on the menu. It can also be ordered on its own.

Breitbach’s Country Dining is closed on Mondays. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 9:30 pm, and on Sunday from 8 am to 7:30 pm.
